Overcoming Constitutional Limits: The Imperial Presidency. If - TopicsExpress

Overcoming Constitutional Limits: The Imperial Presidency. If we we were to being intellectually honest here, then we would likely conclude that the law Professor in the below article is correct. However, this is a problem that goes back to FDR and probably has roots in President Lincoln and then President Jackson before him. Things to think about: 1) Is there a difference between an elected President and an elected King? Should there be? What should they be? How has this been blurred? 2) Do you think the difference between the titles (President vs. King) is grasped by the voting public? 3) Which President(s) do you argue are most responsible for the transition to an Imperial Presidency? 4) How does the imperial presidency harm the Separation of Powers among the co-equal branches of US Government or does it?
