Overheard a pregnant mom today so happy about her planned c-section many months from now. So super sad for her and what she is missing. She doesnt even know :( . She was happy to not have to go into labor. I would LOVE to have to go into labor again. To feel that calmness that descends around 35 weeks. The acceptance that baby will be okay and should be big enough to survive outside of your body and will start the process when he/she is ready to join us EarthSide. To fall asleep and never know if that night is THE night that you will wake up in labor. To wander around in labor for hours not knowing if you are in labor. To feel your little Squish leave your body and slide into your hands. And to snuggle on YOUR couch or in YOUR bed with your new baby only minutes old. To all my pregnant friends and friends who might once again find themselves blessed - enjoy the journey
