Tuesday 12/23 Scripture and Prayer In those days Mary got up and went hurriedly into the hill country, to a town of Judah, and entered Zechariahs house and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Marys greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:39-41. Heavenly Father, We are amazed at your design and plan for the birth of Jesus. In your plan, you set in motion not only one but two miracles...a baby to be born to Elizabeth, a relative of Marys, the child that would later announce the messiah and Jesus. Elizabeth being filled with the Holy Spirit knew the significance immediately of Marys pregnancy. What a wonderful women of wisdom she must have been to Mary a young pregnant teenage girl. Heavenly Father, I ask that you raise up women of wisdom in our world today. Lead us to guide young girls in the ways of the Bible and your word. Help us to speak of Jesus as the Savior, the one who has forgiven all our sins if we believe on him. The one who loved us so much that he came into this world as a baby, born by a virgin, in a lowly manager. He is the one, who died and rose again and who sent the Holy Spirit that we may be filled as Elizabeth. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for your design and purpose. In Jesus name we bow before and in his name we pray. Amen.
