Overwhelmed By Work? By Maloi Malibiran-Salumbides How do you feel today? Do you feel overwhelmed? Do you feel na medyo bitin ang iyong pahinga? Kung ikaw ay isa sa mga taong hindi pa man tumatapak ang mga paa sa opisina, ang pakiramdam ay overwhelmed na sa dami ng responsibilities na kailangang i-juggle, when you feel overwhelmed with the magnitude of task, at parang nalulunod ka na, hindi pa man nagsisimula ang umaga, tandaan ang mga sumusunod na principles na aking ibibigay sa iyo: 1. God expects you to work in teams. He does not expect you to work alone to carry the burden all by yourself. He expects you to work in teams. At alam mo ba kung sino ang leader na team na iyan? Hindi ikaw, hindi ang iyong boss, hindi ang iyong team leader; the leader of your work team is God. Kaya kung Siya ang namumuno sa ating pagtatrabaho sa araw-araw, anuman ang bigatin na iyong dala-dala ngayon, sabihin mo sa Kanya, “Lord, hindi ko alam kung ano ang gagawin ko. But You are my leader, and I know that You will give me a way out.” God expects us to work in teams. Even the very nature of God shows teamwork, hindi ba? God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit – nag-iisang Diyos sa tatlong persona. Ang example din ni Adam and Eve – hindi nag-iisa sa Garden of Eden si Adam noon, hindi ba? Sa simula, alone siya, pero sabi ng Diyos, “Aba, hindi maganda yan. Dapat mayroon yang helpmate.” So binigyan Niya si Adan ng Eba. Si Moses, mayroong Aaron, at mayroon silang iba pang mga kasama. Daniel had Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. And Jesus had 12 disciples. God expects you to work in teams, kaya huwag mong solohin ang bigatin; huwag solohin ang iyong trabaho. 2. Each member of the team has a unique part to play. Ano ang ibig sabihin nito? We owe it to the team to know where we are good at, and then to do it faithfully. Kung saan ka mahusay, iyon ang iyong carreer-in. At kung saan ka naman hindi mahusay, at iyon naman ang kahusayan ng iyong kasama sa team – iyon ang hayaan mong tutukan niya. Each member has a unique role to play in the team. Wala dapat sapawan, walang inggitan. Allow everybody in the team to bloom. 3. If you are called to lead, then do just that; leave the nitty gritty to others. Delegate the details to others. Bilang leader, ikaw ay responsible para sa big picture. Do not micromanage and don’t get bogged down with details. Learn to delegate. In a team, there are things and decisions that only leaders can do. So kung ikaw ang leader, do it well. In the meantime, allow the rest of the team members to do their part. Hayaan mong sila ang magtrabaho sa mga detalye. At ang mga bagay na pwede naming gawin ng iba, ipagawa mo sa iba. Magtiwala na ang barko ay tatakbo kahit wala ka. BE A BLESSING IN THE WORKPLACE TODAY!
