Owl was released within sight of the nest where she came from. She stayed in the box about a minute until her eyes adjusted to light (it was after sunset). Then in a sec she flew off on strong wings into nearby trees and disappeared. Property owner Larry said he has given his hundred acres for a conservation easement – wildlife space because the ranchland has a wooded, year-round stream, and is a major wildlife corridor that he does not want developed or disturbed. Thanks to landowner, you and Geoffrey, this is one owl that made it back!
