This is Linears preferred method of payment. 30 May We are always getting asked about when’s the best time to show up to the fishery. Its hard to say for definite but we always seems to have a shift change of anglers on Sundays, Mondays and Fridays, with Sunday afternoons arguably being the best time to arrive. Many anglers seem to think that all lakes are permanently full and you can never get a swim, this is far from the case. We can get exceptional busy on weekends, especially on bank holidays but even then its very rare that we are completely full, in fact during the last two years we can only remember this happening once (the recent Easter Bank Holiday). So over the last couple of weeks we have taken note of how many free swims each lake has when the bailiff checks the tickets Sunday morning/midday. Now this is not an exact science but below is a list of how many swims were free on each lake over the last two Sundays. We hope you find this info useful. (Number of Free Swims) Brasenose-One (25 & 30) Brasenose-Two (10 & 35) St. Johns Pool (11 & 26) Manor Farm Lake (2 & 10) Oxlease Lake (16 & 27) Hunts Corner Lake (1 & 8) Hardwick/Smiths (10 & 27) 30 May **Lake Closures** This is just a reminder that Brasenose-Two will be closed for weed cutting from Monday 2nd June until PM on Friday 6th June. This is just a reminder that Manor Farm Lake will be closed for weed cutting from Saturday 14th June for five days. Brasenose-Two will be closed from 8am Friday 13th June until PM on Sunday 15th June for a match. Hardwick/Smiths will be closed from8am Wednesday 18th June until midday Thursday 19th June for the Sparsholt end of year Fish-In.
