PAC TRACK INTERVAL WORKOUT - TUESDAY 4/15/14 Where: Fontainebleau High School Track When: Tues 4/15/14, 6:00 - 7:00pm Who: PAC Endurance Edge Program Participants The forecast is looking better for our Tuesday workout this week. Stormy weather is expected to pass through Monday, resulting in breezy, cool conditions for our weekly interval training Tuesday evening. This week were going to do a pyramid workout. Pyramid workouts test both pacing and speed endurance. Here are the specifics: *800m warm-up jog; dynamic warm-up drills *400m @ 5K race pace, walk/standing rest interval (RI) 1:30 *800m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *1,200m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *1,600m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *1,200m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *800m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *400m @ 5K race pace, RI 1:30 *800m cool-down jog If you completed the Ironman 70.3 this past weekend or youre planning to run the CCC10K this Saturday, youre welcomed to come out to the track and maybe run some 100m pickups. One of my favorite post-race / pre-race workouts is running three miles on the track (12 laps), picking up the pace on all the straights....24 pick-ups. Just a suggestion for you racers!
