#PAF pays tributes to #AirWarriors through #art LAHORE, Sep 6 (APP): Pakistan Air Force on Friday organized an art exhibition of aviation paintings and aircraft models at Alhamra Arts Council here to commemorate PAF contributions in defending the country’s aerial frontiers. Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. On his arrival, he was received by Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. In the exhibition which was themed as “Pakistan Air Force in defence of aerial frontiers and in service of our proud Nation-Pakistan”, paintings of Group Captain (retd) Masood Hussaini and aircraft models were displayed to project historical perspective of PAF contributions. The chief minister Punjab appreciated the theme and purpose of exhibition and said that it was an excellent way to transfer our proud heritage to next generations through historical paintings. He said the whole nation acknowledges the sacrifices rendered by the martyrs of 1965 and 1971 and lauded the efforts of PAF in holding such exhibition and depicting historical development of Pakistan Air Force over the years and particularly their prominent and admirable role in 1965 war for safeguarding their motherland. Later, the chief minister was presented a painting of Group Captain (Retd) Masood Hussaini by Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. A large number of PAF veterans, retired and serving senior PAF officers, civilian dignitaries and people from different walks of life were also present. The exhibition will remain open for the public till September 10.
