PAMPA, Texas -- The Pampa community welcomes home a local police sergeant with open arms. Around 8:30 p.m. on January 16th, Pampa officials picked up Sgt. Houston Gass and his family at the Carson County Line. They escorted him through town, where the community lined the streets to make sure the officer knew how much he was appreciated. Sgt. Gass was being treated in a Lubbock hospital after he was shot while responding to a domestic disturbance nearly two weeks ago.
