PAROWAN MAIN STREET CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Tuesday October 22, 2103 All of the storm drain pipe on the west side will be completed this week. All of the long lengths of sidewalk, curb and gutter on the west side will be completed this week--corner curb and pedestrian handicap ramps will be completed at a later date. Street lighting is on track to complete the west side by the end of October. WEATHER PERMITTING--- the rest of the paving on the west side will be completed this Saturday thru Monday. Landmark Testing & Engineering has conducted 99% of their preconstruction condition survey of those residence and business buildings along the Main Street project. SAFETY: Theres a lot of construction equipment in front of the school. School students need to STAY OUT OF THE WORK ZONE! Traffic Control on Main Street is still one-way traffic moving from south to north. Traffic moving north to south will use 100 East. There are yield signs along 100 East--comply with the traffic signs and regulations. Use designated street crossing locations, follow detour signs and closures. Parowan Police will be enforcing the speed limits. WHAT TO EXPECT: The contractor will be working 6 days a week. All of the new storm drain pipe, the long lengths of sidewalk and curb and gutter will be completed this week. The corner curb and pedestrian handicap ramps will be completed Saturday thru Monday--weather permitting. The contractor will be maintaining the intersections for the cross street traffic and accesses for the businesses and residences. For those residence and businesses along Main Street project Landmark testing & Engineering has completed 99% of their survey.
