PART 3 OF 3 Question: What is your “True Identity”? What is - TopicsExpress

PART 3 OF 3 Question: What is your “True Identity”? What is your “Life Purpose”? (Here is the second dream message that challenged me to think and to begin to ask the “deep” questions!) On February 9th, 2009 I had a second dream of a hand writing a message on a large piece of paper. This message was so startling that I had no difficulty remembering to record it in my Journal as soon as I woke up. In fact, I felt a type of inner “quickening” as I wrote it down. It definitely planted the “seed” in my mind to begin searching for the answer to the question, “what is my True Identity?” (A quest which seems to be more of a Journey, rather than a “final answer.”) But first, you may wonder what my painting of “Our Lady of Guadalupe” has to do with the “True Identity” of anyone. Just follow my train-of-thought for a few minutes as I briefly explain my research and composition for this painting and I believe you will then begin to understand how it relates to the second message, after you read it. First, I painted “Our Lady of Guadalupe” because she is a major icon of Santa Fe, being its patron saint. Second, in my composition of her, the painting also represents the Divine Feminine which is found within us all and within everything on the Physical Plane. (Ancient Judaism believed that only the “Mother” aspect of God could be present on the physical plane – “Aima or Ima”. The “Father” aspect of God – “Aba or Abba” – always remained in the realms of Spirit.) The concept of Father/Mother God is very ancient. In fact, for the first three centuries of the Christian Church the Holy Spirit was referred to as “She”. Knowing nothing about why Our Lady of Guadalupe is depicted the way she is, other than the traditional way I have always seen, I chose some of the main details such as the outer robe of dark blue with the stars, the pink dress, her standing on a crescent moon, and the spiked rays of light surrounding her for my composition. I did change the position of her hands from the traditional position for prayer to the Mudra (hand position) representing Wisdom (one of the earliest names for the Feminine Divine was Sophia which means “Wisdom”). Upon completion of my painting I decided to research the background of her traditional appearance. My discoveries surprised me….though not THAT much. I learned that the spiked rays of light around her represented the spikes of a type of Agave plant that grows in Mexico. I assumed that the dark blue outer robe with stars on it was because Mary, the mother of Yeshua (Jesus), was called the “Queen of Heaven” (as was the Goddess Isis). My research revealed that every detail of the appearance of Our Lady of Guadalupe, from the dark blue robe with its stars to the pink dress to the crescent moon, as well as many details I did not include, were directly adopted from various Aztec Goddesses which the indigenous peoples were very familiar with – a group whom the Church was having great difficulty “converting.” One detail I was totally unaware of as I drew out my painting was that the oldest representations of Our Lady of Guadalupe included the Solar Disc behind her head – something I had received a strong “inner” urging to include. Think about all I have written regarding my composition and my brief explanation of the historical iconography for Our Lady of Guadalupe as you read the second message the “hand” wrote for me in my dream. I think you will begin to understand how it is all related and somehow can be part of the “road map” that is leading us all along our “inner” journey to discover our “True Identity”. The second message I received in a dream was: “The purpose of Organized Religion is to keep your TRUE IDENTITY hidden from you!”
