PATRICK O. SAWYER: A HERO IN THE GRAVE AND A SACRIFICIAL LAMP FOR LIBERIANS As I sit at home in Northern Virginia , I am beginning to realize that the late comrade Patrick O. Sawyer (P.O Sawyer ) is indeed a hero in the grave and a sacrificial lamp for Liberians. The level of Ebola awareness in Mama Liberia and around the world today is unprecedented , because of only one person ,comrade Patrick O. Sawyer (P. O Sawyer). In recent time international mass media such as CNN, FOX NEWS, ALJAZERA ,and local news outlets in the United States, Europe ,Asia and other parts of the world will mention the name Patrick O. Sawyer. I consider Patrick O. Sawyer ( P. O Sawyer) a hero in the grave and a sacrificial lamp for Liberians. At first when the EBOLA news surface some intellectuals, scholars and well-meaning Liberians like Benonia Urey and Dashward A. Wumah contended the Liberian border with our neighbor Guinean be close. But our plead felt on a sinking sand. Today because of our fallen comrade, Patrick O. Sawyer (P.O Sawyer) Ebola consciousness has sky rocketed. I consider comrade P.O. Sawyer a “hero in the grave and a sacrificial lamp for the survivor of the Liberian people. Because of Patrick O. Sawyer (P.O. Sawyer) the United States government has dispatched about ( 90) scientists from the headquarters of the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, the United States of America, to specifically Liberia and other parts of West Africa that are highly hit with the EBOLA virus. I consider comrade Patrick O. Sawyer (P. O. Sawyer ) a hero in the grave and a sacrificial lamp for Liberia; it was the death of this great comrade, world organizations are making available I million United States dollars to fight EBOLA in west Africa. It is because of comrade P.O. Sawyer that our president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf provided 5 million United States dollars from government cover instead of 5 hundred thousand United States dollars ,that was previously announced by presidents Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. I consider comrade Patrick O. Sawyer(P.O Sawyer) a hero in the grave and a sacrificial lamp for Liberians; it was because of the death of this neo-progressive that even the least educated in mama Liberia ,now knows the danger of this deadly EBOLA Virus. It was because of the death of this great political ideology of the Mighty Congress for democratic change that my mother in Liberia now have a bucket of water with chlorine in it in front of her old house in Congo town. It was because of this great son of mama Liberia that the least educated Liberians is no longer in the state of denial . It was because of the death of great comrade many more lives will be spare in mama Liberia. This is of no surprise to me, comrade P.O Sawyer was so passionate about what so ever he engage himself with. It was because of his passion for humanity and the rest of the world and Liberia he took the risk to help his sister who was dying from the deadly EBOLA virus. Indeed comrade P. O Sawyer , you are now consider a hero in the grave and a sacrificial lamp for Liberia and Liberians.
