PAUL REVERE- Keyboard player , and leader of the popular 60s band, Paul Revere and the Raiders, passed away at the age of 76 from several undisclosed illnesses. Paul Revere was his real birth name. He owned several restaurants in his native Idaho, and tinkered with music before forming a band with the future lead singer of the band, Mark Lindsay. Revere and his band had several major hits during their popularity, and were regulars on the 60s music show hosted by Dick Clark, called, Where The Action Is. Because of his name, the band wore Revolutionary War costumes on stage and were regarded as teen idols during their hey day. Despite a string of hits, their only #1 hit was Indian Reservation. Revere continued to perform until July of this year when after 56 yrs in the business, helth problems forced him to retire. Rest in Peace, Paul, And THANK YOU!
