PAWNEE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES JOB DESCRIPTION Title of Position: Mental Health Therapist Location: Manhattan Program: Therapy & Evaluation Services Supervisor: Therapy & Evaluation Services Supervisor Supervises: Not Applicable Status: Full-Time Compensation: $37,500+ DOQ Minimum Qualifications: Must be licensed in Kansas or hold a reciprocal state license as approved by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as: Licensed Masters Level Psychologist (LMLP), or Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) A license to practice independently as an LSCSW or LP is strongly preferred. Experience providing individual and family therapy in an outpatient setting would be helpful. Strong oral and written communication skills using the English language. Basic personal computer skills required; experience with Microsoft Office software preferred. Results of criminal and all other applicable background checks must meet the approval of Pawnee Mental Health Services. Essential Job Functions: Clinical * Conduct initial evaluations of clients’ mental health problems and formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan as outlined in the Clinical Standards Manual * Provide individual, group, and family treatment consistent with treatment plan and identified therapeutic needs of clients(s) * Actively participate in Pawnee’s Day-Time Emergency Schedule as required by each region * Actively participate in Pawnee’s After-Hours Emergency Program as required by each region (Backup for full-time Emergency Therapists) * Provide psycho-educational services to the community as assigned by the Program Supervisor * Provide inservice training to Pawnee staff as approved by the Program Supervisor or Director. * Collaborate and consult with other professionals on behalf of our clients Administrative * Meet and comply with all administrative and clinical documentation requirements for clinical staff. Meet direct service expectations and goals * Attend and actively participate in clinical supervision * Attend and actively participate in program staffing and provide input to the supervisors regarding clinical issues * Serve on committees and work groups as requested
