“PAY ATTENTION!” was my God wink yesterday from Oprah Winfrey, shortly after I wrote in my post the following: “We’re never alone! God’s with us every moment of every day and there’s always so much going on that every moment is sacred! PAY ATTENTION, as God’s always communicating with us…” Here’s the deal, God knows the desires of our hearts and He’s our amazing Friend, Helper and Advisor to see those desires come to pass, piece by piece! For me, those wishes include seeing my kids grow up to be amazing people in this world and for my hubby and me to have the best marriage possible! Here’s how God amazingly helped me out lately with this: “I have no incentive” said my oldest son one day, as I asked him why some times he’s so on the ball with everything and the next minute he just doesn’t put any effort into anything! I PAID ATTENTION to that one statement and understood that he was pretty much taking for granted everything we were doing for him and therefore my hubby and I changed our whole parenting from one where the kids automatically got privileges from us, to them having to earn special rewards! At one point I thought we were being too hard on them, as my daughter cried one day, but again, having conversations with God, I felt He was telling me to hold our ground and it paid off! Three out of four of them made the A/B Honor Roll and the fourth one really improved so that they all earned that treat! “Can I help you?” was another sacred conversation that I PAID ATTENTION TO! It was someone who asked if they could help me with something that took a lot of my time! Having a conversation with God as to whether to allow them to help me or not, I got the feeling of peace to allow them to assist me! That one decision changed the entire dynamics of my marriage, as it freed up a chunk of my time to spend with my hubby! Added with another conversation with some friends one day that I also PAID ATTENTION to, I feel my hubby and I are in the best space ever! God, I’m grateful! PAY ATTENTION! Have I said that enough? God is always communicating with us!!! It’s a combination of using our instincts/gut and insinuations from what’s going on around us to make the best decisions, as God helps us to live better lives!! PAY ATTENTION AND LISTEN! WE ROLL WITH GOD!
