“PDP MUST APOLOGIZE TO NIGERIA FOR THE EKITI MISTAKE” _Godspower Igwe_ STRAIGHT TO THE POINT- Nigeria’s National Anthem was abused by the Presidential entourage; while our very revered National Anthem was being played at Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti, our leader, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with his Vice, along with Ayo Fayose, Speaker, House of Reps, Senate President, etc, were unrespectfully and with every sense of impunity, waving their hands to the standing crowd at the stadium. What an act of National Shame! I RECALL WHEN PRESIDENT OBAMA WAS TO BE INAUGURATED AND HOW HE STOOD STILL FOR AMERICAN ANTHEM. WAS IT A MERE MISTAKE OR DO YOU WANT TO SAY I DON’T RESPECT OUR PRESIDENT FOR OBSERVING THAT HIMSELF AND HIS ENTIRE ENTOURAGE DISGRACED NIGERIA IN EKITI? Secondly, our President, Dr. Goodluck Ebelle Jonathan at the Fayose PDP event, 7th June 2014, was the second to be acknowledged by the PDP Deputy National Youth Leader, who took the Christian version of the opening prayer. The Youth Leader, before his opening prayers defied National Protocol, greeting Dr. Adamu Muazu first, before our President- what an insult! Little wonder, Governor Adams Oshiomhole recently avered, “PDP has poor intellectual arsenal to pilot the affairs of a great country like Nigeria...” PLEASE, THIS IS NOT POLITICS; AS TRUE NIGERIANS, LETS ALL CONDEMN THIS AND URGE PDP TO APOLOGISE TO US ALL. “THE LABOR OF OUR HEROES PAST SHALL NEVER BE IN VAIN...”
