PERCY update! Remember little Percy, the 10-week-old Bahamian puppy that was unable to use his hind legs after suffering multiple fractures? We arranged for an emergency medical evacuation from the Bahamas to our rescue program, One Lucky Pup, in NYC because Percy likely would have been euthanized had he stayed. After intensive surgery and follow up with Dr. Phillipa Pavia and the team at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists, we found two loving adopters qualified for his special needs. Percys parents, Trish and Rich, have been so dedicated to continuing his physical therapy sessions at The Animal Medical Center and we are thrilled to share this video. His mama says he walks proudly now, like a little show pony. Percys evacuation and surgery cost thousands, but his life mattered just as much as any other dog. We live for these successes.
