PERSISTENT ASTHMA FOR PATIENTS 12 OR OLDER: The study is investigating the safety of the long acting beta-agonist combination inhaler mometasone/formoterol (Dulera) versus the safety of mometasone inhale by itself (Asmanex) in patients with persistent asthma. Who Qualifies: - Patients aged 12 or older - Must have had persistent asthma for at least 1 year - Must have had at least one asthma episod......e requiring hospitalization or oral steroids in the last year - Must currently be using Qvar, Pulmicort, Symbicort, Advair, Flovent, Asmanex, Dulera, Azmacort, Singulair, or Albuterol Procedures to be performed: - Subject will have 5 visits to our office - 1 EKG and 1 physical exam will be performed - Subject will fill out a daily internet diary - Reimbursement for time and travel may be provided
