PGIMER Chandigarh announces Ph.D Admission for 2014 Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research( PGIMER) Chandigarh has announced the admission schedule for various disciplines for the session of january 2014. PGIMER, set up in 1962 is one of India’s premier institutions in the fields of medical and educational research. The admission criteria for aspiring candidates in Medical courses is MBBS with minimum 55% aggregate marks or MD/MS in the subject concerned or Diplomat of National Board of Exam. The MBBS/MD/MS degree has to be obtained from a Medical college which is recognized by the Medical Council Of India. For non medical/ behavioural sciences, the candidate must have passed M.Sc/MA or its equivalent exam from a UGC/ Punjab university recognized college/institutes with a minimum of 60% aggregate. Also, candidates who have qualified NET exam (with fellowship only) conducted by UGC, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)exam conducted by ICMR/CSIR etc (within two years only) are also eligible to apply. For further details about the application and admission procedure, candidates should refer to pgimer.nic.in The application form and bank challan can be downloaded from pgimer.edu.in .The admission fees for SC/ST candidates is Rs 800 and for all other categories is Rs 1000 .The last date of receiving applications is 4th November, 2013( up to 4 PM). After filling in the complete form, the challan with the required admission fee can be deposited in any State Bank Of India Branch in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh (Examination) in the Power Jyoti Account No. 32211613319. Those candidates who have SBI accounts can also pay their fee through i-collect service of SBI and i-collect in the account No 32222954695. The completed application form, along a copy of the paid challan and attested copies of certificates/testimonials should be sent by speed post/registered post to The Registrar, PGIMER, Sector-12, Chandigarh on or before the due date( 4th November) .The candidates should write his/her name, address, contact number and course name in which he/she has applied, on the back side of Challan form. Tentative dates for the examination schedule are as follows: Entrance Examination: 06th December, 2013 09:00 a.m. Declaration of Result: 07th December, 2013 09:00 a.m. Clinical/Practical Examination: 07th December, 2013 09:00 a.m. Counseling/Interview: 09th December, 2013 12:30 p.m.
