PHILIPPINES TROPICAL STORM: A tropical storm, locally known as Seniang, swept through southern Philippines on Monday, December 29. Sustained winds reached 65 km/h with gusts of up to 80 km/h near the storm’s centre northeast of Butuan City or east of Cabadbaran City, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
