They are Bad too is an incorrect inference. Rasmus never said that PHP frameworks are bad, however, they have too many deficiencies in a general purpose Framework to be considered for serious development. A framework and a CMS are not very different. Put some flesh on a skeleton (Framework) and it becomes a reusable biped ( CMS ). Listen to Rasmuss speech and you will know WordPress, Drupal, Joomla all are also considered as Frameworks ( and CMS ). Here is a short explanation: If you are a good programmer, learn a CMS/Framework. If you are an excellent programmer, create a framework of your own, do NOT use a general purpose framework.
