PIA-CAR/BENGUET: The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) in its 3rd quarter meeting reorganized a task force to study the controversial herbicide called Gramoxone in suicide cases including its social aspects that compel individuals to end their lives. Gov. Nestor Fongwan said that the incidence of suicide cases in the province has become very alarming. He also proposed that the Council would petition the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) to ban the sale of Gramoxone nationwide. He said it was initially listed as highly toxic but was downgraded to a regulated category.
