PIA-CAR/IFUGAO: The LGU of Lagawe has formed the Municipal Start-up Registration Committee (MSRC) for the "kasambahay" or domestic workers in the municipality. This is in compliance with RA 10361 or Kasambahay Act that provides for the protection of all domestic workers in the country. The MSRC is chaired by the mayor with the social welfare officer and public employment service officer as co-chairpersons. Members are all barangay captains, MLGOO, population worker, health officer, sangguniang bayan committee chairman on laws and rules, the civil registrar and the municipal chief of police. The committee is tasked to generate data and conduct master listing and registration of all kasambahay in the municipality. It will also coordinate to all concerned agencies such as PAG-IBIG, PHILHEALTH and SSS to facilitate the registration.
