PIA-NCR: The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) lifted the ban on the deployment of overseas Filipino workers in Iran. The ban took effect due to war in that country. According to the POEA Governing Board-issued Resolution No. 04, series of 2013 signed last July 23, Filipinos are now allowed to apply and work in Iraq only in places where Filipinos are safe. The POEA has agreed to lift the deployment ban on Iraq and resume the processing and deployment of returning workers or balik-manggagawa; or rehires, upon the submission of list of areas identified as no-go zones by the Iraqi government.
