PLAMEN BEYKOV is a soloist of the National Opera Russe. He graduated from the Royal College of Music – London and specialized with Boris Christoff in Rome – the last disciple of the great singer. As a freelance opera singer he has worked in opera houses in Sofia, Varna, Bourgas and Plovdiv. He has performed in most European countries, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, the USA and Russia. To the Bulgarian public he is also known as a chamber singer with numerous song concerts with the pianist Bozena Petrova. Plamen Beykov is a researcher and interpreter of Byzantine and Bulgarian church singing. He has recorded for the funds of BNT and BNR, also for companies “Mega”, “GEGA” and “Naxos”. After he was associated to the Royal College of Music – London in 1997 he became actively engaged in pedagogical activity.
