PLATEAU SPEAKER ESCAPES IMPEACHMENT, PLANS 2 RESIGN NEXT WEEK TUESDAY: Speaker of d Plateau state House of Assembly, Mr. John Clark Dabwan, on friday narrowly escaped impeachment by his colleague in d House, who said d ve lost confifence in his poor & colourles leadership style. The 18 out of 24 lawmakers had signed 4 his impeachment & had gathered in closed door meeting 2 proceed wt his removal when d speaker got a wind of it & hurried 2 join dem. He den pleaded wt dem 2 rather allow him 2 resign honourably by tuesday next week when d house is expected 2 reconvene.
