PLAYING YOUR ROLE? A student who desires to succeed in his/her forthcoming exam will have no choice than to study hard, read relevant materials, solve questions, avoid sleeping too much etc. But imagine another student who desires to succeed in that same exam, but all he/she does is sleep, play, eat, and not read; can he succeed in that exam? NO! They both desire success, but only one was ready to pay the price and play his role to success! God has given us a lot of promises and assured us of His constant victory; but we have our role to play by praying it to manifestation! Sin can hinder the fulfilment of Gods plan for our lives. Laziness, time-wasting, lack of faith, prayerlesness, etc are all thorns that can choke the seed of promise God has given us, and prevent it yielding its needed fruit! NOTE: You are not here on earth just to take up space; God has a specific purpose for your life, the promises to bring that to fulfilment; and nothing, absolutely, nothing can change that except YOU! My dear brothers/sisters, God is always ready to play His own role, His promises are yea and amen; But are we willing to play our roles? When Elisha asked for the double portion of Elijahs anointing; he was given a condition that it will only be possible if he sees Elijah when hes being taken away. Elisha played his own role by being very sensitive and gave full concentration; and in turn, he got the hard thing he asked for! Joseph also played his role by remaining faithful and God promoted him. Esther played her role by diligently preparing herself and God favoured her! Weve also got our roles to play! Dont let those promises slip by! God is a covenant keeping God. Hes always ready to fulfil His promises! God is ready to move, are we also ready? Ezekiel 36:11b: ...and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord. As we go this week, lets actively play our roles and see God who is ever faithful, do the miraculous! Do have a victorious week! GOD BLESS YOU!!
