PLAYNG WITH THE WIND 6 WISHES FOR CHRISTMAS: Wish 2: This is Flower. She was found on waste ground scavenging in Romania. She was struggling greatly as she has a grave problem - Myoclonus, (uncontrolable tremors) and the increasing loss of feeling and use in her right front leg. Flower was alone and afraid and took several weeks to catch, when she was finally captured she could not be handled without restraint as she was so afraid of everyone and of being touched. There are many things that could have caused these problems, but having assesed her over the last 2 weeks of being with us, the likelyhood is that Flower was a victim of the dog catchers and was coshed over the head, as her head seems to be misshapen, and her initial fear of touch and human contact. She now has a safe place here and a new best friend, Hope a scruffy little street dog. The pair go everywhere together and share their room. Hope has helped Flower to trust again. We can now fuss her and she does not run away everytime she hears a sound or sees someone passing. However her neurological problems are worsening and we must begin investigations into the reason for them. We would like to raise enough money to travel her to the capital city to have an MRI scan, and be seen by a specialist vet. The clinic is over 700 km away and we need to raise money for transportation and a possible overnight stay And any subsequent treatment. If we could raise £500 we could acheive this and give Flower the new life she deserves.
