PLEASE JOIN US FOR WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2013 Sunday School Begins at 9 a.m. Worship Begins at 10:15 a.m. In holy baptism God makes saints out of sinners. In holy communion God forgives the sins of all the saints. In the assembly this Sunday we give thanks for all the saints who from their labors rest, who have fought the good fight, who have gained the crown. In the same breath we petition our God for the strength to hear and to heed the admonitions of the Lord Jesus in todays gospel. Recalling that we have been sealed by the Spirit and sustained by the Saviors body and blood, we keep on keeping on as God gives us breath, to the praise of Gods glory. ZITI LUNCHEON – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 10 – NOON All friends and family of Messiah are invited to our November Fellowship Event, a Ziti Lunch, sponsored by the Kitchen Committee. There will be ziti, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and beverages. Everything you need to fill you up. Put this on your calendar now and watch for a sign-up sheet. Want to help out, speak with Bill Becker. I am sure he can find you a job. BUDGET AND FINANCE MEETING – The Budget and Finance Committee will be meeting on November 13th to plan the 2014 Budget. If you or your committee has any budget requests or questions, please make sure to have them to Kristie Becker ([email protected]) by November 10th. WELCA PROJECT MEETING, NOVEMBER 19, 7:00 PM At our November meeting we will be making new book marks for the green and red hymnals. We are looking for donations of ¼” ribbon and plastic needlepoint canvas. There is a supply list sign-up sheet on the bulletin board if you would like to donate items for this project. Only thing you need to bring that night are scissors. Truly a project for everyone! Hostesses for the evening are Tina Bascom and Jill Becker. NEWSLETTER SCHEDULE – For the months of November, December and January, the newsletter will be available on the second Thursday of the month. If you have anything for the newsletter please make sure to have it to the office by the 30th. TRANSITION UPDATE - Our MSP is posted on the Synod Website, which means our vacancy is now publically listed. Within the next few weeks, the call committee will meet to begin its preparation for a potential candidate.
