PLEASE LIKE THIS AND SHARE IT IF YOU WISH TO SEE THE UNITED STATES BASED AND WORLD BASED OIL COMPANIES FOLLOW THE EPA MANDATED RULES AND CONTRIBUTE TO CHEAPER FUEL PRICES AT THE PUMP THAT WE ALL NOW PAY FOR TODAY ! The following is a some what a simple and a brief explanation of how the Environmental Protection Agency in the United States mandates how We as Oil Companies dismantle a non-producing land based Oil Well. First We rig up with a well service unit known as a Pulling Unit very similar to an Oil Well Drilling Rig but smaller and on 14 or more wheels once the Pulling Unit is erected with Its derrick standing and the guy wires are stretched and anchored We begin to dismantle the Oil Wells Pump Jack by pulling the Horse Head and Bridle off, then We remove the I Beam from the Pivot Bearing and begin dismantling the free standing legs of the Pump Jack and remove the High Capacity and High Voltage electric motor that runs the Pump Jack and then remove the Pump Jacks MUD SILLS that the Pump Jack sits on and all the above listed pieces are then loaded on to a Roustabout Truck and taken to the Oil Companies pumping yard for further use on another prospective Oil Well. At this point the Oil Wells pumping unit is dismantled and then We begin to remove the Well Head and begin to start pulling the Sucker Rods that lead to the Oil Wells down hole pump and place them on the ground and not in the sucker rod fingers basket of the pulling units derrick that is only done in the event the sucker rods are to be placed back into the ground but will not be the case if the well is no longer producing Oil and must be dismantled once all the sucker rods are removed from the well and the down hole pump removed We begin to start removing the tubing that the sucker rods had pumped the oil up through to the collection tanks and treater house that collected the toxic gases separated from the oil were it does not meet the need to be part of the end product known as Crude Oil ready for processing by virtue of a Oil Refinery after the tubing has been removed and the Gas Anchor has been removed We place all the tubing on the ground one joint at a time and then prepare it to be shipped to a local tubing inspection and recovery facility such as a company like Rodco Inc. of Odessa, Texas were both the sucker rods and tubing are inspected and straightened for future use at another Oil Well location after determined them to be of significant value for recyclable use of them. At this point We are now ready to remove both Intermediate and Outer Casing usually made of a pipe with an outside diameter of any were from 11 to 13 inches or more and will now require a Casing Unit and the pulling Unit is rigged down and goes on to another site. The Casing Unit is very much similar to the Pulling Unit in design but is shorter and smaller and in many cases does Not have wheels to be moved and must be rigged up by local Roustabout Crews to construct The casing unit. the casing crew using a C-40 type under ground explosive carefully packs the bullet with the C-40 granules that does require rubber gloves were as the compound will cause severe irritations to the Human skin and sends it down the casing to the designated depth and with a simple piece of pipe that has the wire line attached to the bullet run through it is dropped down the hole and explodes the bullet subsequently fragmenting the casing and splitting it into two casing strings one to remain in the hole and one to be removed from the hole entirely. Once the casing is removed from the well and and the well head flange as well all the casing and well parts are taken to the Oil Companies Pipe Yard for future use if it meets all recyclable means to be be reused. After the EPA requirements listed here in have been met and done properly a cementing company is required to pump cement down the hole and cap it off as well so as to protect it from ever contaminating the water table like We see taking place in many cases through out Lea County and Eddy County New Mexico and the Great City Hobbs, N.M. as well and that continue to victimize many residence, farmers and ranchers in the region of the Permian Basin there today which still today contribute to higher fuel prices and environmental problems I still hear about back Home in Hobbs, N.M. How ever at that point We are required to plant one or more trees in the place of were the Oil Well had been. And after several years go by the area does Not appears to have ever had an Oil Well there. How ever many Oil Companies do Not abide By these EPA mandates and those are the ones who do suffer severe fines for Not following the Rules. You are welcome and I kykker® retired Oil Well Driller member I.A.D.C. hope that this information has helped You understand how the process required to takes place. Much Luv to all, kykker® A.M.R.S.
