PLEASE NOTE: NO SCHOOL TOMORROW PLEASE SHARE WITH ALL SACRED HEART FAMILIES Good evening everyone, During today a large amount of water began to leak from beneath the pathways surrounding the library. We have had a plumber on site this afternoon who believes that we have a burst water main. Unfortunately there is no isolation valve between the where the mains water enters Sacred Heart and the leak. This means that there is no running water available to the school. As the leak is under a built up area of concrete it will be difficult to locate and the plumber’s most optimistic estimate is that the water will need to be switched off until after lunch tomorrow. As a result Sacred Heart Catholic School, our Early Learning Centre and Before and After School Care services will not open tomorrow Monday 28th July. Children should not be sent to school or the Early Learning Centre tomorrow. Updates regarding progress of the repairs and reopening of the school will be made available on the Sacred Heart website (shpsnt.catholic.edu.au) late tomorrow afternoon. Please spread this message amongst other families who may not have access to email or the internet. This decision has been may in the best interests of our children’s health and safety though I acknowledge the inconvenience it will cause to families.
