PLEASE NOTE. Residents who are experiencing slow drainage through their sewer system may call the City to book a service appointment. If a City crew is not available to address the call, the homeowner is advised to contact a sewer services company who will determine the nature of the problem, remedy it and bill the customer directly. The resident can submit the invoice to the City for consideration of partial or full reimbursement. Sewer blockages caused by the following are eligible for reimbursement: • A breakdown or severe sag in the sewer connection on the City side of the property line; • A sewer connection blocked due to City tree roots; • A sewer connection blocked due to a combination of City and private roots (half the invoice will be refunded); and • A sewer connection blocked due to a blocked sewer main. Due to extremely high volumes of request for services the City is currently booking non-emergency service appointments into October.
