##### PLEASE READ FIRST ##### ##### RULES & REGULATIONS ##### Due to some recent and unfortunate misunderstandings, I was compelled to do what I should’ve done a long time ago - draft a set of rules and regulations. As the great Ben Stiller so poignantly said in Happy Gilmore, “You’re in my world now, Grandma.” This group is not a democracy. Rights, such as Freedom of Speech, don’t apply here. I have created rules based on my own personal beliefs that have been ratified by the majority of the active members of this group. These rules are non-negotiable and adherence to these rules is requisite to retaining membership in this group. If you disagree with my position or any of these rules, you are not required to be here. You are free to join another group or start one of your own. This is, and was always intended to be, a family-oriented group. The internet is flooded with inappropriate content. One of my goals has always been to make this group a safe haven. Posts or comments that violate one or more of the following rules will be deleted. Extreme cases or repeat offenses may result in a permanent ban. ---------- Rule 1: RELEVANCE - All posts must be related to 1960-1966 Chevy/GMC trucks or any obvious variation thereof. Rule 2: LANGUAGE - Posts that contain inappropriate language, such as swear words, racial slurs, hurtful or demeaning comments, or insults directed at other members, are not allowed. Rule 3: DRAMA - We don’t need it. For example: If you don’t agree with a comment posted by another member, you have two options: You may respond respectfully, like a mature human being, or keep it to yourself. Period. This isn’t Jr. High and that kind of behavior isn’t welcome here. Rule 5: IMAGES / VIDEOS - Images or videos must be G-rated. No scantily-clad women or men. No offensive language (see Rule 2) or imagery, such as crude hand gestures, bumper stickers, cartoons, etc. Rule 6: COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING: This group does not allow commercial advertising. This constitutes any post that promotes a for-profit business with the intent to increase revenue. Private ads, such as the sale of parts from one member to another, are allowed, provided they are relevant. Strong Recommendation 1: PRICE & LOCATION - This is not a rule, in the strict sense of the word, which is why I’m labeling it a strong recommendation. When selling trucks or parts, please let everyone know how much you’re asking for it and where you are located; at least the state, if not the city. Every time an ad is posted without this information, the first two comments invariably are “How much do you want for it?” and “Where are you located?”. ---------- Folks, I love this group. Like some of you, I visit it every day. I love watching the interaction and the friendships being made. I don’t want these rules to scare anyone away. On the contrary, I hope that this environment will attract even more members that appreciate a group that promotes a family-friendly environment dedicated to a mutual enthusiasm for these fine automobiles. If you have any questions regarding these rules, please feel free to send me a personal message. I welcome suggestions and constructive criticism. I thank you in advance for your contribution to making this the best group on Facebook. Your faithful Admin, Dave
