(PLEASE READ My brief story though long for FB.. know the story is still being written) My childhood was a privileged one in that I was blessed to be raised by a wonderful grandmother who took GREAT care of me! I wanted for nothing and had EVERYTHING I needed and MORE! My teen years were filled with fun, antics, laughter and the foundation of awesome friendships some that I still have today and treasure greatly. Then came my 20s, college and then I got married, saved and still enjoyed life though I did have my first experiences with going through trials because up to that point in my life I had been protected and did not know what it was like to suffer at all. Then came my 30s when I thought I was REALLY GROWN (LOL) still married entering into my 30s but shortly there after the marriage ended and though that was a form of death because divorces are just that I survived and emerged MORE victorious than ever in my Christian walk and it was then the TRUE foundations of my ministry were laid! I did not know that what I was walking out in life would be used by God to bless others but I am GRATEFUL! And then it happened.. my 40s were approaching and I was FIT TO BE TIED! I cried and was somewhat sad because the mature ages were creeping up on me. Turning 40 to me was like being a junior in high school you were to old to be considered or be with the underclassmen and too young to be a senior SO THERE you are! Well little did I know the old adage that life begins at 40 would be a testament to me and I have had a BLAST!!! Do you hear ME? My 40s were awesome! Not without its challenges, foolishness, zany antics, craziness and of course SATAN and all of his attacks but they did not stop me! God placed a determination in me that giving up was not an option because it was/is a fixed fight and He has got me! I stopped compromising what I knew was the path God created for me to follow and stopped skipping the major steps and side tracking hurdles on my journey and road to destiny. So here I am.. saying goodbye to the 40s.. 49 will be a memory in just a couple of hours and I will say HELLO Fierce, Fabulous, Fantastic and YES FAITHFUL and FAITH-FILLED FIFTY (50)! God you are so awesome to bless me to LIVE when things and people in life were designed to kill me or assassinate my character. You said NOT SO there is STILL MUCH for you to do Chocolate Girl from Dallas TX! So I say YES LORD bring it ON, I am your girl, you can count on me to live it out for the next 50 years for sure and give you the glory for it! I have a blessed ministry, an awesome husband, wonderful family, great friends, and so many people in my life I cannot name them all and it is because of you Lord and this girl is THANKFUL, GRATEFUL, APPRECIATIVE, HUMBLED, DANCING, JOYOUS, DETERMINED, BLESSED, AND MORE... Lets go 50! Lets do this! Let the celebrations continue... WOO HOO! 12 months of 50 has begun! Remember, I will post each month something special I have done to celebrate my 50th birthday! Over the next year I will have a tea party, a Denim, Diamonds and Pearls Celebration, A Murder Mystery Dinner, Go on vacation to somewhere I have never been, have a Love & Couples event, host a conference and yes even small intimate things, not all will be BIG! I love you and thank you for the value you have added to my life! YES I am talking to YOU! LOL! :-) By the way I have nearly 70 pounds of weight I lost and want to give someone, any takers? LOL LOL!
