PLEASE READ! Over the past year or so weve instituted some best practices at Baypath that have hopefully improved communication and made you feel more a part of our growing shelter community. 1. Check-in calls and emails. Weve always tried to be a post-adoption resource and of late, weve increased outreach capabilities via phone and email. We generally ask how you and your new pal are doing. Many of those updates get turned into the posts you see here on the FB page. We always encourage you to get in touch with us with whatever questions you have. 2. Weekly updates from the volunteer coordinator. Each week, we send out a comprehensive email to our volunteers letting them know what dogs and cats have/will be arriving and which ones found their forever homes. The volunteer coordinator, Naomi, also includes important information about shelter happenings. 3. Facebook updates, information sharing and shout-outs. We have put great effort into making this a central place for you to find out sometimes hour by hour what is happening at the shelter and among our community. We greatly enjoy the dialogue that we have here and the pictures, experiences and wisdom you share with us. Participation on this page has grown so much and we appreciate it as a direct link to you. 4. The Web site. The Web site has definitely gone through a few iterations, especially as Facebook becomes more prominent. However, we have added a lot of resources to the Web site for your use as well as ours. For instance, you can find surrender information, local shelter locations, as well as our available dogs and cats. Weve also made it a hub for how to help Baypath through volunteering, donating and community advocacy. 5. In the shelter. We try very hard, even at the busiest of times, to greet everyone and ensure that you will be helped as soon as possible. Anyone who has been in on the weekends knows that it can be hectic. Luckily, we have volunteers that come in regularly to support the staff and free them to work with you. 6. The board of directors. As you know from our recent Fur Ball event and the upcoming Fore Paws Golf tournament, our board is working very diligently to develop exciting events for everyone in our community. In addition to our booths at our fellow organizations events, we want to have our own events that allow us one-on-one time with you, our awesome supporters. These are just a few of the changes you may have observed - all are meant to better serve you but more importantly to find homes for local and out-of-state animals in need. Thanks again for all your support. Your pals at Baypath
