PLEASE READ THIS ALL (cancer update) What a day, what a day. I am going to avoid beating around the bush with with some crazy story that leads up to my point and I am going to just get to my point. This is what happened today. I had a CT scan ran on my head and neck. Remember, this scan does NOT tell us if there IS or if there IS’NT any cancer in my body, but it does show us the condition/ size of the tumor that still remains in my neck. *this tumor is where the cancer was living at one point. After my scan today I received this news: The remaining portion of the tumor in my neck (the parts that they could not get because of it’s position) has…. DECREASED by 20% in size in a matter of TWO months! (I had another CT scan like 9-10 weeks ago that had it projected larger) THIS is wonderful news!! The more this nasty devil shrinks… the less likely the cancer has of coming back in that part of my body, thus preventing it from spreading to another location! Secondly… when my surgeon examined my throat thoroughly he said somethings that simply brought joy to my heart. WOW! That looks AMAZING! It looks SO GOOD! At one point my airway/ throat was in the ballpark of 70% blocked from tumor/ growth consuming it. I was told that I could have slowly suffocated had I put my surgery off!! Guys this is the absolutely the BEST news that I could have receive. Well… aside from hearing, the tumor is completely gone and we are labeling you cancer free!! But… this!!! THIS… it is WONDERFUL news! Please keep praying and believing and hoping! You have played a huge roll in the encouragement that has fueled me! It is truly an honor to know each and everyone of you. I am so inadequate to call you my friends! Thanks be to God who is faithful even when we do not deserve it! I am so thankful for that!! One thing that you could continue to keep in your thoughts in addition to my continuing to progress in a positive manner… is my eye. I am losing vision in my right eye and this is due to my radiation. I REALLY REALLY do not want to go blind in one OR both eyes! Please please please keep this in your thoughts! There is not much they can do about the vision that is already gone, but thankfully it is FAR from being as bad as it could be!!! THANK YOU!!! I TRULY love you all! Cooper.
