Patchy freezing drizzle can be expected this evening across central and eastern Illinois. This may impact the commute in some areas due to slippery roads. With temperatures at freezing or below there may be a thin glaze of ice on untreated roads and sidewalks. Travel with caution this evening and allow for extra travel time. Temperatures above freezing, in the middle 30s, will be moving into the area from the west this evening and this will put an end to the freezing drizzle. Our next snow chance will come Sunday with some light accumulation possible.
