Scott Hope, 27, died from multiple injuries after the collision at around 4.30pm on Saturday 20 December 2014. Scott was riding his motorcycle along the clockwise carriageway on the M60 at junction 6 when he was overtaken by a red car travelling at speed in the outside lane. He then pulled out into that lane and was struck from behind by a black Seat Leon Cupra also travelling at speed. Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit have traced the driver of the Seat and spoken to him, but now want help finding the driver of the red vehicle. Sergeant Paul Higgins, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We have now managed to obtain some footage of the red car from the CCTV network that covers the M60. “Unfortunately, the images aren’t of great quality but I would still like people to take a good look and let us know if they recognise the make/model of car. “A young man has lost his life here in tragic and sudden circumstances so it is vital that people please take a few moments to tell us what they know.” Anyone with information is asked to call the traffic police on 0161 856 4741.
