She has pulled dogs from many different kill shelters or has had dogs pulled for her. Some of the shelters include ACS in San Antonio, Brownsville, Longview and others. While in her care she has taken healthy dogs to her original vet Country Hills Vet Clinic. Soon after her brother brings in the dogs already deceased explaining a different excuse every time. Necropsy results show horrific abuse in many different ways I dont even want to mention here. In total up to June 2012 Country Hills Vet took 8 deceased dogs from the brother within 14 months. An investigation was started either at that time or well before, I have heard as far back as 4 years ago. Monica has had a career as a regional retail manager for awhile most recently with Victoria Secret and was traveling a lot for work. She has the means to vet her own dogs and has also donated to many different rescues and shelters. Her Facebook page when it was up was always posted with Causes for animal abuse petitions and other posts advocating to help shelter animals etc. She has managed to somewhat cover up a dark side to her family situation and if not committing these crimes herself is just as guilty for bringing the animals into her home knowing they are in danger from her brother who I hear is mentally challenged. Monica is 50 years old from Lima, Peru, lives in Bulverde, TX. not far from San Antonio. Do not adopt, let transport, let pull, let anything. PLEASE share with your local shelters, rescues, pet stores and the many small shelters across Texas and nearby states if you can. I cannot express enough, the type of abuse these dogs are said to have gone through is horrific. Please be sure to check all transport volunteers, pull volunteers if you are not familiar with their past or who they have worked with. Monica has a liking for Bassets, Basset mixes, Border Collies but has pulled others as well that turned up killed.
