PLEASE SHARE THIS STATUS!!! I have never had a more miserable experience dealing with Expedia. I booked a room for this trip in April -- just to drive over 7 hrs to find out the hotel doesnt have any rooms available. Of course, this room was confirmed in April & here I am a LONG ways from home with NOWHERE to go. So I call expedia - just to spend over an hr and half on the phone - I talked with SEVERAL people. The first person told me my only option is to drive around the area & find something. So I asked for her manager/supervisor & it only got worse from there. By the end of it, 1 person said Expedia would cover anything over the cost of my booking. When she found something, it was over 3 times expensive. She then decided Expedia would not cover what was over the booking & wanted me to pay for it! So I asked for her manager --- by the end of it, Expedia did absolutely NOTHING To help. I asked her what the point was booking through expedia if they COULDNT guarantee hotel bookings. She ignored the question. Im beyond aggravated. Im now on my way to book a hotel over 30 minutes away. Most of the hotels around are sold out. I will never book through expedia again. Please tell all your friends & family that they do not guarantee hotel reservations (even if they confirmed it in email). They have HORRIBLE customer service. I just wanted to share this so that you know how Expedia does business & what to expect. #expedia #Expedia
