** PLEASE SHARE! ** youcaring/pet-expenses/help-four-orphaned-puppies/171642 A tragedy occurred the other night on the windswept roads of Tennessee. A passer-by stopped when he saw a lifeless dog by the side of the road and even though it was storming heavily, he got out to check the dog. The poor dog was dead but huddled close to her body were her 4 puppies. They were scared, soaking wet from the heavy rain and clinging to their Mamma for what little warmth was left in her. Since she died with no name, weve named her Mamma Angel. This wonderful man picked up the puppies and took them to Mandys shelter (Tennessee Animal Rescue And Shelter.) The babies were huddled together trying to keep warm but they were soaked to the bone. Mandy dried them off and put them under heat lamps to restore their temperatures to normal. Mamma Angel had to be left behind and when Mandy went out the next morning to find her, her body was gone. These four orphaned babies are bloated with worms and covered in ticks. Theyre happy little babies though, considering what theyve been through. Mandy thinks theyre 4 to 6 weeks old. Given the circumstances, we know that this little family was dumped out on the road in the middle of the storm. Theres no way to identify any of them so well just have to worry about the babies and let justice be served another time. For now, were all mourning Mamma Angel and we promise her that her babies will be well taken care of. If you can find it in your heart to donate to the care of Mamma Angels babies, weve set up this fund-raiser for them. Theyll need Vet care and when theyre old enough theyll be spayed/neutered. Mandy hopes that theyre healthy but being left out in that weather might have done damage thats unseen at this point.
