PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO READ AND SHARE! I posted the other day about going to be making silicone wristbands to support CCAM Babies, all money raised in purchasing a wristband will be going to Yorkhill Sick Childrens Hospital as they do an amazing job in looking after children with all different kinds of illness and especially in helping us with Ellie There will be two different bands Pink Camo ones for us ladies and Red & Blue for the men all bands will be £1 each Little information on what a CCAM is Congenital Cystic Adenomatoid Malformation of the lung also known as CCAM is a problem that occurs during development which can result in one of the lobes containing a group of fluid or air filled spaces which are known as cysts rather than lung tissue. These cysts are usually only on one lobe but in some cases more than one can be affected and can vary from a small number of large cysts to a large amount of small cysts. Also in some cases this can cause problems to the heart as these cysts can sit very close and if they grow bigger they then push on to the heart. CCAMs is a very rare abnormality and only occurs in 1 in 10,000 babies. So if you would like to purchase a wristband if you could let me know so I then know how many wristbands to make thank you :) x
