PLEASE pray for Baby Gianna this is so heartbreaking. Lets flood heaven eith our prayers and thoughts. She has a brain tumor that is inoperable. When Gianna was 8 days old, she came to me for her newborn portraits. While she was at the session, Mom told me that the doctors believed Gianna might be deaf and that there would be further testing in the coming weeks. We had an amazing session together and got some great images with big brother Dominick, and I assured Mom at the end of the session that I would keep her family in my thoughts. Weeks passed. Mom sent me updates on the prognosis. I’ll let her tell you in her own words: “September 17, our beautiful daughter Gianna Grace was born. It’s been a difficult five weeks. We had concerns leaving the hospital because Gianna had a difficult time moving one side of her face and she failed her hearing test. We were referred to Children’s Hospital to get a comprehensive hearing screening. Gianna’s ears were working fine, but she could not hear because the signals were getting lost at the stem of her brain. They scheduled her for an MRI for when she would be a month old so she would not have to stay in the hospital overnight. On Monday, October 20, we arrived at the hospital for Gianna’s MRI. . . . Gianna’s scan showed a large tumor intertwined in and around her brain stem. We must have seen a hundred doctors—neurologists, neurosurgeons, nuro oncologists—you name it. After many discussions with the doctors, we were discharged Tuesday night. Gianna has an inoperable tumor, and there are no treatments that can help her. We are asking for your prayers. Please pray for comfort and healing for Gianna. Please pray for our son Dominic. We have not yet told him of Gianna’s cancer or prognosis.” #REALNOTRARE #cancerSUCKS #BABYGIANNA
