One good advantage of a PORK-free Senate is that we will discourage those who are only after the funds from running. As a result, few and only brilliant people with true public service motivations but with modest financial means will run and win. Being so, we may have real statesmen in the Senate rather than what we have as its current composition. In fact, Senators are supposed to have a national constituency, they have an influence on the National Budget; it should be enough and they should work their way around it to help those in needs; they have to do some sacrifices for the common good by extending their resources and creates funds using their own genius creativity and influence. That I can say is the true mark of a real Public Servant. The Law makers should pass a law that bans the present treatment of special funds that has become a big pork fund for the Executive Department. Let us ban all NGOs from partaking of PORK! I know this will affect some good NGOs that are rendering good community services. But be it so! For greater means! If it is the only way that the taxpayers can get justice in the constant horrible rape of our beloved Nations Treasury! This way we will know the real skin of those who say they are a true Public Servants. Taking out PORK is the scissor to cut the list of corrupt politicians but one day God will do the cutting...(Psalm 37:9-10) For evildoers will be cut off, But those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land. Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more; And you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there.
