Being in the Middle East, tracing my ancestors to the Caspian sea, I was saddened to know of her death after contributing to the Prince of Egypt. She had a unique range of colour to her artistry. Deseret Wind is by far a favoritge. Although her Yemen background may be foreign to many, it holds a rich historical tie to the cultures of more of the Middle East, more than religious icons than perhaps does the pure Jewish religious/cultural ties. She as an individual and her music was unique.
