PM Beers says: Im not an eye for an eye kinda girl. Prison is for killers and child molesters as means of prevention of more. They need to never come out. That is all. They can have a nice life in there and they should because we are not inhumane. In most cases, even in child rearing, punishment is simply sadistic and does not lead to less undesirable behavior in the long term. As for other crimes, most imprisoned people should not be. Is there evidence that imprisonment prevents crime? I suspect that the opposite is true. All conflict is the tragic expression of unmet needs. All prisoners have been victims of child abuse. How can we get radical and prevent crime from the root of the cause?
