POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR SOME HELP LOCATING SUSPECTS. Storm Lake Police are looking for two suspects in an assault investigation, after chasing down a third in a foot pursuit early Monday morning. Officers were called to the 1000 block of Lake Avenue around 3:20 a.m. Police met with the victim of a reported assault who told police that he had invited several people to his residence early in the night. At approximately 3 a.m. one of the invited guests had engaged in a disagreement with the victim at which time the guest allegedly physically assaulted the victim. The suspect and his two friends left the residence, then allegedly broke out a window at the residence. The three men then fled on foot. While police were on scene the three men who had fled were observed approaching the rear of the victim’s residence. Police engaged in a foot pursuit, apprehending one of the men behind the Buena Vista Auto Sales Office near the intersection of Lake Avenue and West 10th Street. Braeden Bailey, age 19 of Rembrandt, was charged with Criminal Mischief 5th Degree, Public Intoxication and Interference With Official Acts. He was booked into jail on $900 bond. The other two suspects got away on foot. Storm Lake Police assisted by the Buena Vista County Sheriffs Department and the SLPD K9 Unit searched an area west of Lake Avenue and south of 10th Street but were unable to locate the suspects. At approximately 4:30 a.m., two men matching the suspect’s identity were reported as being observed by citizens near the Fareway Store and Casey’s Central. The two suspects still at large are described as a white male with medium build with dark hair wearing blue shorts and no shirt; and a black male, very tall with a slender build wearing a green sleeveless shirt and green basketball style shorts.
