POLICE OFFICER IN EXAM CHEATING A POLICE officer has been arrested in Chambishi for hiring a grade 12 school-leaver to sit for the General Certificate in Education (GCE) examinations on his behalf. Police sources said Musole Musole, 43, of Kitwe, paid George Chilundika of House No. E 127, Wusakile, to write examinations for him. Police said both had been arrested and detained in Chambishi. The sources indicated that Musole was picked up on Thursday morning at the time Chilundika was writing Mathematics Paper II on his behalf at Chambishi Secondary School. “He (Musole) managed to obtain a new National Registration Card (NRC) with all particulars bearing his name, but the picture which was on the NRC was for Chilundika. After a tip, Chilundika was taken outside the examination room and following further interrogations, it was discovered that it was all fraud, he was not Musole. Chilundika was just paid to write examinations on Musole’s behalf,” a source said. The sources further said Chilundika was caught in the examination room by some people who knew him as a very intelligent boy who completed school two years ago. Musole is currently detained at Chambishi police station. When contacted, police spokesperson Charity Chanda referred all queries to Copperbelt deputy police commissioner, Mukuka Chewe, whose phones had been going unanswered by press time. postzambia/news.php?id=2833
