POLICE have confirmed the helicopter flying over Galashiels is involved in the search for a missing Hawick man, although the family have not given permission for a picture to be released. Barry Davies, who is 37-years-old, was last seen at Teviothead near Hawick late at night on Monday 28th July. Barry is described as white, 6ft tall, of slim build, with a shaved head and blue eyes. When he was last seen, he was wearing dark coloured trousers with side pockets, a black biker’s jacket and black gloves, and he was carrying a camouflage rucksack.
