POSITION: TELECOMMUNICATIONS MANAGER REPORTS TO: Director of Operations FLSA STATUS: Salaried Exempt Position Summary: Installation, maintenance and repairs of facility and client utilities communications system including video marquee boards, telephone systems, computer/data systems, internet, radio and television broadcasts including plasma televisions. Assures that client utilities service orders are correctly processed and properly coordinated for delivery and installation of telecommunication services to exhibitors and clients. Essential duties and responsibilities: • Plan, schedule and coordinate the telecommunication operations within the facility • Coordinate telephone systems provider services outside the facility with in-house requirements. • Maintain applicable code requirements that apply to cable insulation, ceiling plenum routing and support, wall penetration and fire rating and when conduit raceways are necessary. • Resolve normal and unusual field problems with clients, users, technicians and suppliers or service. • Operate communications related computer systems for administrative and functional purposes. • Correctly use and apply test equipment to verify problems exterior to the facility systems. • Work from blueprints and develop sketches when necessary. • Read, understand and communicate client floor plan layouts. • Maintain inventory of all telecommunications and internet equipment. Report inventory status to Director of Operations. • Provide internet connections as necessary. • Recommend cost effective and cost efficient means of operations of telecommunications infrastructure. • Coordinate work with all operations sections; interface effectively with all users, providers and peers. • Maintain a safe working environment. • Attend appropriate planning, organization and other event facility meetings in support of facility operations. • Programming of video marquee boards and plasma televisions throughout the facility. • Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks, demonstrated problem-solving and communication skills. • Excellent organizational, planning and inter-personal skills. • This position requires the ability to interact with all types of people. Must be able to get along with co-workers, customers, vendors, visitors to the facility. • This position requires the ability to respond politely to all individuals and work well as a team player. • Experience with industry standard cabling, wire grouping, color codes, termination, frames, numbering and routing/dressing arrangement. • Must be familiar with basic telecommunication systems and operations TO APPLY: This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
